I tried to resist it. I really did.

Kinja'd!!!

But weeks after I politely declined to buy this 1969 Fiat 850 Spider, the owner told me I was the only interested party, he’s hate to junk it and made me an offer I’d be silly to say no to. So uhh yeah. I haven’t bought it yet because I need to confirm that I have garage space for it and the donor car. Oh yeah, I’d also buy this probably-stolen rusty 850 for $600 to support the rebuild.

You, sir...you win at life! :D

Are you TRYING to make me come out there to help despite my having little to no actual mechanical experience yet by knowing I love all things FIAT and buying one of my favourite FIAT classics...? :O

Please buy this thing so I don’t have to. It will cost less than $850 each to own 2 850's.

In about 1981, I met a guy who had a 850. The one thing he learned is that you do not take the tin out around the radiator and under the engine as it screws up the air flow and it won’t cool itself. Man do I sound old....

I’ve heard that, actually. People always remove it thinking it will make for better cooling and it does the opposite.
